Kinds of Visas and Permits

Visitor’s Visa, otherwise known as the 9(a) visas, are issued for Tourist or Business purposes to non-Philippine nationals who intend to stay in the Philippines temporarily and intend to leave the Philippines.  The three types of Visitor’s Visas are:   ·        Single-Entry Individual Visa ·        Single-Entry Group Visa ·        Multiple-Entry Individual Visa   Transient Visa is issued to those who intend to use any of the Philippine ports in transit to another country.   Seaman's Visa and Crew-List Visa are issued to non-Philippine nationals who are part of a crew such as an airline or a shipping vessel.   Student Visa and Special Study Permit are issued to a non-Philippine national who intend to study in any educational institution in the Philippines.   Special Non-Immigrant Visa [Section 47(a)(2)] is a special visa issued to individuals who have been granted authority by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) such as employees of international oranizations and their dependents.   Unaccompanied Minors Waiver of Exclusion Ground  is issued to minors who are not Filipinos below fifteen years of age who will travel to the Philippines unaccompanied by either parent or legal guardian.   Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) or the “Retiree’s Visa”, is a special non-immigrant visa separate and distinct from the existing visa categories.   Employment Permits are permits issued to non-Philippine nationals who are employed in the Philippines.
