Single-Entry Individual Visa

 

1.    Passport valid not less than six (6) months from date of filing of visa application;

 

2.    Applicant must be in Taiwan at the time application for visa is filed;

 

3.    Duly accomplished visa application form;

 

4.    Two (2) pieces recent photo - size (4.5cm x 3.5cm) taken in the last six months from time visa application is filed;

 

5.    Copy of Taiwan ID or Alien Residence Certificate (ARC);

 

6.    Not in the Immigration/MECO watch/black list;

 

7.    For applicants traveling with his/her minor child/children below 15 years old, to submit a photocopy of the Household Registration (for R.O.C. nationals) or Birth Certificate of the minor and other documents that may be required by MECO. The original copy each of the documents required must be presented for comparison;

 

8.        For applicants below 15 years old not traveling with either parent or legal guardian (duly appointed by the court) for either parent or legal guardian to execute an “Affidavit of Consent and Request” duly notarized at MECO in compliance with the Waiver of Exclusion Ground (W.E.G.) under Sec. 29(a)(12) of the Philippine Immigration Act. 

 

Personal appearance at MECO of the parent executing the Affidavit is required.

Copy each of the data page of the passports of the minor, accompanying adult (at least 20 years of age – majority/legal age in Taiwan) and the parent or legal guardian executing the Affidavit (Taiwan ID or ARC may take the place of passport of parent or legal guardian) must be attached to the Affidavit. Original of the Household Registration with photocopy must likewise be presented by the parent/legal guardian executing the Affidavit.  Notarization Fee for Affidavit – NT$800.00

Upon entry in Philippines, the applicant -minor is required to pay (BI – Port of Entry) the amount of PHP3,130.00  (present rate) per applicant-minor.

 

9.    As a rule only one visa at a time can be issued to an applicant and that visa as issued must be used before another one can be issued. However, MECO in accordance with its established practice, may issue a “Secondary Single Entry Individual Visitor’s Visa” provided that: 

 

a.    applicant is able to present his/her original airline ticket showing that he/she is going to a third country from the Philippines and is going back to the Philippines before returning to Taiwan or going to another country;

b.    In the absence the airline ticket or if applicant is unable to present said airline ticket, applicant shall execute a Waiver stating to the fact that he/she has confirmed booking for the Philippines, a third country, back to the Philippines then to another country. Said waiver must be duly authenticated at MECO and therefore Waiver Fee shall be assessed.

 

10.    A male applicant who has not complied with the requirement of the Taiwan government to render military service or has not been exempted from doing so and such fact has been annotated at the back of his passport, a Permit to Travel from the concerned agencies of Taiwan must be presented to MECO before application can be entertained

 

11.    Payment of Visa Processing Fee – NT$1,200.00

 

12.    Payment of Expedite Fee (if applicable) – NT$500.00 

 

13.    Payment of Notarial Fee (if applicable) – NT$800.00 

 

14.          Payment of Waiver Fee (if applicable) – NT$500.00
 

 

Validity of Visa and Duration of Stay 

 

The visa as issued is valid for three (3) months from date of issuance and the maximum duration of stay from date of entry is 59 days. MECO in the exercise of its discretion may shorten the validity of the visa issued as well as the duration of stay. MECO does not have the authority to issue visas valid for more than 3 months and more than the maximum number of days stay of 59 days. For other nationals requiring visa to enter the Philippines the duration of stay is only 21 days.

 

Schedule of Release of Visas  

 

If you submit your application form with complete requirements on or before 11.30 a.m., your visa will be ready for release after 5.00 p.m. of the same day.

 

If you submit your visa application form with complete requirements after 1.00 p.m., your visa will be released after 9.30 a.m. of the next working day.
