Birth of Filipino Children In Taiwan |
|
All children of Filipino citizens (male or female) are natural-born Filipino citizens, no matter where the children are born. You can register the birth of your children even if they were born in Taiwan. You are encouraged to report the birth of your children so that their records are immediately updated. The Philippine birth certificate will be needed by your children for school records, marriage, or other transactions in the Philippines. We urge you to immediately report the birth of your children so that their documents can be issued at the earliest possible time. Passports may also be issued to your children. Please visit our section on Passports and Other Travel-related Documents . Some documents or applications may need to be authenticated or submitted for affirmation (notarized) PRIOR to filing. Authentication and notarization is undertaken by the Consular Service of MECO. Some of the application forms or supporting documents are found in this page and may be downloaded. You can find the form for affidavits or special powers of attorney in support of processing these documents in the Authentication and Notarial Services' Affidavits & Other Forms page. You may even have the option to fill-up some forms and print the same using this website. The filing of the application and supporting documents are filed with the MECO Consular Affairs Office . For queries on civil registration that are not answered in this website, you may visit the National Statistics Office (NSO) .
