The validation of your fingerprint is required in securing your National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance at the MECO office .
MECO does not accept applications for securing the clearance. Applications are filed in the Philippines by your authorized representatives.
The special power of attorney to undertake this application with the NBI offices in Manila is provided below. You can download this special power of attorney, fill in the blanks and present this for acknowledgement (notarization) before the MECO Consular Affairs Office .
Clearance can be done at the MECO. Personal presence is required at the MECO office and your fingerprints must be imprinted in the presence of an authorized MECO official.
a. Duly accomplished NBI Fingerprint Form
b. Original Philippine or foreign passport of applicant
c. One (1) passport-sized picture
d. Original Alien Residence Certificate
e. If you are unable to go to any of the MECO offices, you may go to the nearest local police station and have your finger prints taken by the local police. The name of the police staff who took your finger prints as well as the chop of the office concerned must both appear in the NBI Fingerprint Form.
