Requirements for Seaman's Visa If applicant is joining a vessel in the Philippines 1. Passport valid not less than six (6) months from date of filing of visa application
2. Applicant must be in Taiwan at the time application for visa is filed
3. Seaman’s Book and copy – valid for at least six months from the time application is filed
4. Duly accomplished visa application form
5. Two (2) pieces recent photo - size (4.5cm x 3.5cm) taken in the last six months from time visa application is filed
6. Copy of Taiwan ID or Alien Residence Certificate (ARC) if applicable
7. Not in the Immigration/MECO watch/black list
8. Letter from the shipping company attesting to the fact that applicant joining a vessel in the Philippines, name of vessel, name and particulars of the applicant, where vessel is located
9. Payment of Visa Processing Fee – NT$1,200.00
10. Payment of Expedite Fee (if applicable) – NT$500.00 Validity of Visa and Duration of Stay The visa as issued is valid for three (3) months from date of issuance and the maximum duration of stay upon entry is 59 days.
Schedule of Release of Visas If you submit your application form with complete requirements on or before 11.30 a.m., your visa will be ready for release after 5.00 p.m. of the same day. If you submit your visa application form with complete requirements after 1.00 p.m., your visa will be released after 9.30 a.m. of the next working day.
